By Cuttings
Few easy steps that you can follow
- Take stem tip which has just started to harden and cut 6 inches long piece and give a diagonal cut with a sharp knife
- Keep some leaves on the top portion for preserving moisture
- Prepare a pot with 1 part garden soil, 1 part soil mix, and 1 part sand
- Plant lots of cuttings in the same pot for now so that the humidity and warmth will help them grow
- Keep the pot in a warm place but do not put it under direct sunlight
- After 4 weeks they are ready to be re-potted separately or you can plant them in the garden.
- While re-potting the cuttings separately you can use organic mulch (bark chips or sugarcane straws) around the base of the plant.
Also, remember to,
- Select the pot with good drainage.
- Re-pot with utmost care without damaging the roots
- Never let it stay waterlogged
- Mist the cuttings regularly
- Look out for failed cutting. If you see any cuttings that look brown or have started wilting, uproot them right away so that they don’t affect the rest of the batch
